Ace Combat 8 is available for PS5, Xbox Series X|S and Windows PC via Steam. The publisher’s global launch label is October 2, 2026; Steam displays October 1. Check the actual platform listing rather than reading the date difference as an unreleased game.

Use the correct platform listing
The publisher lists PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC, with a global October 2 launch. Steam’s listing shows October 1; SteamDB records release at 21:59:57 UTC that day. The timestamps are consistent with crossing midnight in parts of Europe. That is a timezone interpretation, not a separate edition.
For Windows hardware, use the current Steam requirements. A Steam Deck report is a compatibility-layer case, not an officially supported Linux release.
Older console and VR queries
No PS4, Xbox One or Switch version is confirmed in the platform list we checked. That is the scope of this evidence, not a promise about future releases. Verify the exact game title on your console store before buying.
Steam displays a user-defined VR tag. User tags are not the publisher’s feature declaration: the feature list we read does not establish native VR support. We have no verified headset mode, PSVR2 release or compatible mod guide. Do not buy a headset based on that tag alone.
