Work through Celaeno’s propeller targets until Wing Spar becomes available, destroy that structure, then attack the exposed main engine from the side. The next opening gives access to the generator. Destroy it and leave through the western return line. A wing breaking off is an intermediate objective, and the generator kill still leaves an escape to complete.

Approach and open a firing route
PowerPyx’s route begins low over the sea, then climbs beneath Celaeno to attack the radome. It removes the ventral VLS before settling behind the aircraft, dealing with dorsal defenses as needed. Use the approach to locate components instead of spending ammunition on an arbitrary section of fuselage.
Keep checking altitude during the low approach. Caligo collection is a separate objective; use the named-ace conditions if pursuing that reward. This clear guide does not require a perfect undetected approach.
When the wings will not break
- Locate the remaining propeller components and attack those targets.
- When a shield UAV blocks the shot, clear it with guns as described by PowerPyx, or reposition for an opening. Do not repeatedly spend missiles into the same shield.
- Keep checking for Wing Spar. Switch to that target when available and destroy it.
- Use the opening left by the detached wing to attack the main engine from the side.
- After the engine phase, acquire the exposed generator and finish it.
PowerPyx works through the sub-propellers before the spar; Gamerch describes the wing becoming vulnerable after enough propeller damage without giving a count. Follow the newly available target rather than assuming a fixed number of hits. If selection keeps returning to the wrong component, use the target-selection checks.
Finish the generator before leaving
Gamerch describes a three-minute countdown once the generator is exposed and recommends a firing angle from diagonally above. Read your actual timer, select the generator and line up the exposed target. If the fuselage blocks your shots, reposition instead of treating an explosion on the outer hull as a confirmed hit.
The same walkthrough warns that contact with shield barriers causes damage. Keep enough separation to correct your aim. A visually large attack is not proof that the intended internal component was destroyed; check the target change and objective transition.
The escape is part of the clear
After disabling Celaeno, head toward the western return line. Gamerch advises changing course against the railgun fire instead of flying straight, and says crossing that line completes the mission. Chasing the arriving fighters can prolong this exposed final stage.
Success is the mission completion after departure, not merely a wing falling away. These sources describe a route through the encounter; they do not guarantee S rank with any aircraft, restart history or completion time.
Match the retry to the failed phase
- Wing target unavailable: return to remaining propeller objectives and watch for the target transition.
- Shots blocked: distinguish shield interference from a component hidden behind the fuselage; clear the shield or change angle accordingly.
- Generator phase times out: spend the opening lining up the exposed objective, rather than continuing to farm unrelated targets.
- Destroyed Celaeno but still failed: check whether you completed the western departure before the escape hazards caught you.
Record the phase, selected target and remaining time before changing a whole loadout. The walkthrough also identifies failure if Celaeno reaches the map boundary; avoid a long optional detour while the main target is still advancing.
