For conditional aces, replay on Veteran or higher, meet the mission’s trigger, shoot down the named target and finish the mission. PowerPyx lists 83 Assault Records, including 31 conditional aces. Use the mission table below after a campaign clear; a kill followed by quitting does not complete the collection step.

Plan one missing record at a time
- Open Data Viewer → Campaign Data → Campaign Assault Records and identify the missing record.
- After your campaign clear, replay the matching mission on Veteran or higher.
- Meet the trigger while preserving the main mission objective, then find and shoot down the named aircraft.
- Complete the mission and check the record and the matching aircraft’s special color.
The PowerPyx trophy walkthrough provides the viewer path, difficulty gate and mission-completion requirement. The wiki also notes a post-clear gate among conditional appearances, so post-story replay is the conservative collection starting point. This guide does not promise every ace appears during an initial campaign.
Conditional aces by mission
The table is an original condensed task directory from Ace Combat Wiki’s AC8 Aces page, compared with PowerPyx. Mission 14 has no conditional ace listed. Mission 23 has two sharing a trigger, while Mission 25 has two different triggers: the 30 rows cover 31 aces.

Names identify the target; a skin reward is for the matching aircraft type. It does not unlock a new playable aircraft. Use Aircraft Sets to apply an owned color after the story.
Important differences between checked sources
- Mission 13: PowerPyx says five towers before transport landing; the wiki says before halfway. Aim for the earlier halfway condition rather than assuming the later window is enough.
- Mission 20: PowerPyx says at least one B-2; the wiki says both. Clearing both is the conservative attempt, not proof that two is the minimum.
- Mission 23: PowerPyx names Lux Lunae ace units; the wiki specifically names Gemma and Ventus. The required three-minute group is not resolved by those different descriptions. Use the wiki’s named groups as an attributed attempt and retain the mission result if it fails.
- Mission 24: PowerPyx leaves name and aircraft blank; the current wiki identifies Sabulum/Su-34. That name is a wiki report, not a first-party confirmation.
- Mission 26: PowerPyx spells the ace Lucidius and describes surface units; the wiki spells it Lucidus and specifies ground targets. The table follows the current wiki and keeps the difference visible.
- Mission 16: PowerPyx says position depends on the third ship. Treat northwest as the wiki’s location report, not a fixed spawn guarantee.
Do not mix a permissive timing description with an assumed guaranteed spawn. A repeatable failed condition, difficulty and exact target list are more useful than simply reporting that the ace is missing.
Mission 28: Harmonius and the Shadow records are different
Harmonius is the conditional F-35C ace: the checked sources agree on five bombers within five minutes. The wiki associates its appearance with Tu-160 reinforcements. That is separate from the Su-57 Lux Lunae 22nd Unit record chain, which PowerPyx links to destroying Shadow 24 in Mission 18.
A named-ace objective is also separate from an S-rank objective. For the latter, use the difficulty-specific S-rank reports. Killing Harmonius does not establish a universal score cutoff, and changing earlier campaign outcomes should not be presented as an S-rank requirement without evidence.
If the record did not appear
Check difficulty, campaign-clear state, mission, the trigger’s timer or surviving allies, the exact named kill and whether the mission was completed. A normal story unit is not interchangeable with a conditional ace. Return to the viewer after the clear before repeating a successful collection step.
Do not confuse an Assault Record with a mission medal, or a missing paint scheme with missing ownership. Use rank versus medal conditions for award questions. Exact patch behavior and unresolved trigger discrepancies remain outside a guaranteed route.
