YOUR FIRST MOVE

A player who reports finishing Not a Scratch used Adaptive Armor in Missions 9 and 29, restarting before armor protection was exhausted and real damage occurred. They explicitly say checkpoints did not undo real damage for this attempt. Treat the method as a successful player report, not an unlimited damage-reset exploit.

Armor protection is not the same as repairing real damage

onethiccboyo69 reports finishing the challenge, with Missions 9 and 29 causing the most trouble. They equipped Adaptive Armor and in Mission 29 restarted a checkpoint before further hits caused real damage.

In their clarifying reply, they explicitly distinguish armor damage from real damage: the checkpoint method worked for the armor state, not for undoing real damage. This page therefore does not tell you to accept damage and erase it later. The report supplies no verified number of protected hits for every attack or universal invincibility timer.

Prepare and track the attempt

  1. Use a campaign run intended for the exact Not a Scratch goal; keep its condition visible in your client.
  2. Before the difficult mission, equip your owned Adaptive Armor from mission preparation. Unlocking a part is not the same as equipping it.
  3. Watch the damage indication and distinguish protected hits from actual aircraft damage.
  4. If using the reported method, restart while armor still protects the aircraft, before real damage is recorded.
  5. On completion, inspect the relevant mission bonus/result and ultimately the challenge reward. Keep evidence of a disputed run.

The source’s reference to taking two hits in Mission 29 describes their own attempt, not a universal two-hit allowance. Use your displayed state rather than assuming all weapons consume the same protection.

If real damage has already occurred

The checked player says restarting at that point did not salvage their no-damage condition. Do not continue on the assumption that a full-health checkpoint display proves the historical requirement was erased. Re-attempt the affected mission/run under the goal shown by your game, and retain the exact result if the condition behaves differently.

We have not verified the minimum difficulty, a Free Mission substitution for the full campaign, or exceptions for each mission’s scripted sequence. The all-S replay objective has its own evidence and cannot supply those missing rules. The separate guns-only scoreboard check is also a different condition.
