Ace Combat Online Week 3 ground-target challenge: base cost and F-15E checks

YOUR FIRST MOVE

Check the aircraft’s base cost rather than its upgraded displayed cost, and attack ground units rather than ships. In the October 11 Week 3 discussion, tacitusthrowaway9 reports using the F-15E; another player says their Su-34 failed the check because its base cost was 1450. These are player reports, not a verified complete eligibility list.

Check base cost before another attempt

ButtersCreamyGoo0’s reply identifies base cost as the relevant value. tacitusthrowaway9 gives the F-15E as the aircraft they used. Educational_Sink_438 says their Su-34 was not counting and identifies its base value as 1450.

Start with the named successful alternative if you already own it. Do not buy an unfamiliar aircraft solely because a leveled-up cost display crosses 1500. Read the current challenge text and distinguish the aircraft’s original value from changes associated with upgrades.

Use ground units, then check the counter

  1. Open the current Week 3 challenge and record its wording and starting progress.
  2. Select an eligible owned aircraft, using the reported F-15E case as a comparison.
  3. Attack actual ground units. The reply explicitly excludes naval targets; ships should not be used to diagnose this counter.
  4. Complete the sortie and return to the challenge screen.
  5. Compare progress with the starting value, then inspect whether any available reward still needs to be claimed.

The expected success is a higher challenge counter for the correct task. Damage, team score and an ordinary mission clear do not substitute for that counter. The original question mentions ten ground units; inspect the live wording rather than assuming the same challenge remains active in later weeks.

If the reported F-15E alternative still fails

Save the exact challenge wording, aircraft variant, base and current cost, target type and before/after counter. Report that evidence through the publisher’s support channel linked in the game’s store listing if it still fails. A failed attempt with different conditions cannot disprove or reproduce the posted success.

These replies do not establish whether the threshold means exactly 1500 or at least 1500 for every eligible model, whether assists count, the complete eligible roster, or a precise reset/expiry date. No cache deletion, account reset or guaranteed bug fix is supported here.

For a separate resource bottleneck, see general-purpose blueprints. For the difference between cost, score and rewards, use the Online cost guide. Those systems should not be treated as the challenge’s confirmed formula.
