A cheaper jet is not a verified way to multiply your own Zoll earnings. The publisher ties post-mission earnings to mission rank and the winning squadron, and separately explains Threat Level scoring. A current player reply says lower-cost aircraft give opponents fewer points when damaged or destroyed; that is a bounty claim, not an exact payout formula.

Four values that should not be treated as one
| Value | Meaning for this decision | Source status |
|---|---|---|
| Match score | Points earned during the sortie; not the same unit as a shop balance | Publisher mode rules |
| Threat Level | Stars change scoring and the value of being shot down | Publisher explanation; exact multipliers absent |
| Aircraft cost / enemy bounty | A reply associates a cheaper aircraft with fewer points given to opponents | Player explanation, not a controlled AC8 cost table |
| Post-mission earnings | Publisher ties rewards to mission rank and the winning squadron | Official description, not a complete Zoll calculation |
The official Online guide supplies the confirmed reward and star rules. Do not infer that all these values increase or decrease together.
Does an expensive aircraft reduce your own points?
Darth_Onaga’s original question compares their kills with Morgan users and asks whether cost explains different scores. It is a question, not a measured balance rule. Two_Shiba’s follow-up distinguishes the points an enemy gets for damaging or downing you from your own earnings. Their explanation also invokes AC7, so it is not used here as proof of an AC8 coefficient.
Kill count alone does not show identical targets, damage contributions, star states or results. Those are comparison variables to record, not a claim that we have isolated every score input. The suggestion that cheap planes respawn faster is also unverified in the checked thread. We have no demonstrated cost-based penalty on your own kills and no verified numerical conversion from points to Zoll.
Choose and compare without buying a supposed money multiplier
- Keep the mode fixed: a Warfare player kill and an Assault NPC target are different comparisons.
- Use an aircraft you own with weapons suited to the objective. Check its actual upgrades, rather than comparing an unlevelled plane with a developed one.
- Record the displayed aircraft cost, stars, match result, mission rank and reward screen for each attempt.
- Compare repeatable task performance before spending on another aircraft.
The reward screen showing Zoll gained is the relevant payout observation. A single MVP or a dramatic multi-target explosion does not establish the best farming method. For the confirmed star tradeoff, use Threat Level and Ace stars. This page does not promise that a cheaper aircraft, Morgan purchase or particular upgrade guarantees more currency.
